The Devereux Center of Massachusetts, a treatment facility for children with special emotional and behavioral needs, was looking to increase awareness in the community. At the time, I was a member of the Advisory Board and it was decided to create a public service campaign in Massachusetts.

Davis Advertising created the “Hope For the Family” campaign. The name Hope represented a fictitious person who could be a spokesperson for the campaign combined with the word Hope. Most children and families entering the Devereux Center had given up hope for a normal life. The ultimate goal of the center was to bring back Hope to these families.

Davis Advertising created a logo for the program utilizing a rainbow, a universal symbol of hope, along with the creation of public service announcements. The agency’s media and public relations department worked closely with Massachusetts media outlets to set up interviews with Devereux representatives and have the public service spot put into the stations public service rotation.
