Footwear giant Saucony wanted to do a sweepstakes promotion to introduce their flagship running shoe, the Guide3. They wanted one resource to handle the entire promotion, from creative strategy, to web development, through to the actual game administration of the sweepstakes. They turned to Davis.

The sweepstakes is complex because of the fact that there were actually two contests. One, for the consumer who tried on the Guide 3 and the other for the sales associate who recommended the shoe. We designed a single game card for both. To enter the contest the consumers and sales associates have to log on to their own web site. Davis not only designed and built both sites, we are also managing the database of information collected and the serial numbers of the winners. All legal rules, regulations and bonding is handled by Davis. The promotion is supported by eye-catching in-store p.o.p. and collateral materials.

The promotion is an overwhelming success. It has created brand excitement at retail by involving both the consumer and sales associates. The end result is the successful launch of Saucony’s flagship shoe, the Guide 3.
